I started my interest in creative skills at the age of ten. My Higher education qualification is Bachelor of Education major in Art and needlework.
I taught primary school since 1980 teaching all subjects but my passion is crafts and helping children learn traditional crafts but also some of the new ways of doing things.
As a family we are involved in education as my daughter teaches in a local school and my son teaches guitar. You can see his website at Adam Teaches Guitar.
In 1981 when I married I made my wedding dress and those of my bridesmaids. As the children grew up I made most of their clothes.
In 2012 made my daughter’s wedding dress and those for her six bridesmaids. As you can imagine in lots of different sizes.
I have since made wedding, party and prom dresses for customers.
I have run craft days for all different ages including youth clubs, school craft days and residential homes.
In 2013 I took early retirement and now run craft street. I also organize craft events for people of all ages.
If you like my ideas and need an event to learn craft skills, or just have fun making things, please contact me
